Show Me How To Play

Show Me How to Play.com is a brand new interactive music website which showcases everything that’s great about music in a totally unique way.

SMHTP films and talks to people in all areas of music production, from the Bands and Artists, right through to Roadies, Lawyers and Guitar Techs. We’ve got FREE LESSONS for Bass, Drums and Guitar and with our never been seen before MULTIPLAYER, people can learn their favourite songs and play along as part of a band, sometimes even with the original session musicians or artists themselves. The site is easy to navigate and also has an amazing encyclopedia of Artists to surf through for biographies and discographies on artists and bands from all genres of music. If that wasn’t enough, you can also create your own MY PROFILE, send messages and chat on Forum sections.

SMHTP founder Mark Flannery started his career at the highly renowned Windmill Lane Studios Dublin where he worked alongside one of the world’s finest music producers and writers Mutt Lange on the Def Leppard (Hysteria) album. Mark says “I learnt so much from Mutt, his attention to detail and amazing production skills are still a massive influence on me even today”. Mark also worked with U2, Clannad and the Fury brothers in Ireland. Mutt also invited Mark to work at London’s Battery studios, where he added even more international artists, (Jimmy Ruffin, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, and Black Sabbath) to his already impressive CV. As a freelance engineer and producer, Mark also worked with Lisa Stansfield, Boy George, Depeche Mode (Violator), Lee Scratch Perry and Yes.

For the last 4 years, Mark was also the Head of Song Writing at the world-famous Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) and sits on the Board for the Brighton Music Network. He now concentrates all his efforts on SMHTP which is a totally unique and amazing way to showcase some of the world’s greatest artists & talents giving the public the opportunity to learn and interact with them.

As SMHTP is already expanding into the classical market & Secondary Schools music curriculum…….this really is only just the beginning.
